Sam no problem, someone has to do it - there are 40 channels on the CB band that people can use.
-
I did not catch all of the conversation but I think he is after those who use 28Mhz without a ham radio licence
SO it's just a warning that this guy dose it for FUN !!! Was what he was saying some people ! -
Thanks for the warning, I don't venture of CB channels, but don't think it should be a issue
-
I thought 28 mhz was CB channels?
Is 28.175 CB channel 19? Or was that 27.185?....Been a long time since I used a Frequency counter...lol!
I rarely venture out of the 40 channel range anyway but do run Ohio often. -
28 MHz is where the 10 meter ham band starts.
Ch 19 is 27.185MHz, Ch 40 is the highest frequency for CB at 27.405MHz.EZ Money Thanks this. -
Like I say I did not hear the full conversation !
But some of you guys must be running export radios with more than 40 channels -
Well that won't effect me.....not saying I don't occasionally stray from the legal 40.....but never into the ham band.
-
Don't know why the FCC don't give you guys more channels over here in the UK we have 80ch and all mode (AM/FM/SSB) for CB but very few users less the 20,000 users for 60,000,000 people
i do use CB and listen to Stateside here when the skip is running but it gets very crowded and hard to pull stations out but I have spoken to a good few people over Stateside ! -
Turbo-T Thanks this.
