Pay depends on your experience. Just to give you an idea.....I was started at 31 or 33 cpm with 1.03 years verifiable OTR. I have more but local doesn't count I guess. And the company trucks are nice. They don't hire students or rookies. I believe its a 9 month minimum OTR experience. So that can tell you that MOST of the trucks are in great shape. You got a few with dings here and there but nothing like you see swift rolling down the road with. They ordered a ##### load more new trailers, I believe like 3000. They have 9000 trailers and 3000 power units(trucks). Very very rarely do you find a dog walking trailer. I have had one. 65mph trucks....well supposed to be but some are faster some a bit slower like 64 just depends on tire tread and stuff. They use straight 10 speeds in there trucks. With ISX CUMMINS and the new international motor in the brand new trucks with electric APU's. I'm a lease guy so I have a brand new Cascadia with a Detroit motor. Now almost everyone has electronic logs, I still have paper. They have drop yards everywhere all over the us and Canada. Terminals in Waxahatchi, TX. Indianapolis, IN. Greensboro, NC Richmond, VA. Laredo, TX. El Paso, TX. and like I said countless yards all over. Any more questions feel free to ask.

I'm back! Nicely equipped? Not really. Standard stuff like velour upholstery seats that have 6-way air inflation adjustments, tilt/telescope steering wheels, rubber floor mats (no carpet), AM/FM/CD, cruise, jakes, heated mirrors, airride dump, sliding 5th wheel, recaps on the drives (boom! there goes another), pwr door locks and windows, more storeage space than I have stuff to put in it, and every driver gets a new mattress when he gets his truck. No more stained and stinky mattress from 5 drivers before you! Solo's don;t get a fridge, but the socket is there for your's. My truck: the sensor that reads the outside temp and is supposed to allow you to idle when it's too hot or too cold isn;t working. I have to watch for the lite to blink (which it doesn't always do) and stab the throttle to keep it idling. They all have 10-speed transmissions, no automatics. And read my earlier posts. NO PETS. I'm still missing Remington. What can you say about a dog that's saved your butt 3 times? I don;t think the company understands that I'd rather have Rem at my back when stuff happens than most people. Sorry, got offtrack there. Oh, and our people (Indy) do read this tuff. My miles got a whole lot better after posting about 1600 for the week from St Paul. So, to you guys (or ladies), so far I am somewhat satisfied with Celadon. In this economy, we're all happy to have jobs, anywhere. And as a former O/O, I can understand not wanting to dump tons of money into the trucks when the loads that produce revenues maybe aren't as plentiful as they were just a few years back. They're just managing what they have the best way they know how. God Bless, and ask questions up front. It's usually better that way.

Okay, got lost there with the trips. Just came from hometime in Bradenton, FL. 4 1/2 days totally uninterrupted. First trip out is from Apopka, FL to Knoxville, TN area. Good load, and plenty of time to make it in. Actually have my next load set before I delivery this one, but not sure about the weather. Anyone want to head for Laredo, TX right now?

Easy trip to Laredo, but now here I sit. Have to have the truck PM'd but really would rather get it done up in Waxahatchie. Laredo just takes toooo long getting things done. Walked in to make appointment and was told only 1 truck ahead of me, it'd be this afternoon sometime. Just how long does it take them to do a oil change and lube? Let's see, in the last 5 days, I've had 1927 miles. Doesn't make a good week, yet.

don't forget about the 3+ day wait to get in the shop. how do you tell if load is a broker load? or a celadon load? simple brokers load will be better planned. and when you get the paper work on the load from the shipper. it will say who the broker is. and in case you are wondering anybody getting called by celadon. the truck assignments are cradle to grave. meaning the truck you get is the truck you got. get one that brakes down every week. you've got on that brakes down every week. they won't give you another one. unless! the following happens. they sell the truck,it burns down, the engine blows up,you total it in a wreck, or you quit and take another job. the orentation class at celadon. is about a 120 people every week. most quit in the first week. some in the first month. and the rest with in 3 months. the lease purchase program. is a huge rip off. and from what some of the guys i talked to about it. said the first year is good. after that. they gut the miles out. and cause them to defualt on the lease agreement. I met i don't know how many people i have met in the 8 months i worked at celadon. that the lease drivers went flat broke in the first 3 months. and it seemed like they were always in the shop over some bad mechanical problem. I can be honest. celadon is a completely heartless company. and they treat there drivers like crap. and they have more respect for the dirt on the ground. then they do the drivers. and it doesn't matter to celadon what country the driver is from. mexican, american, canadian. they treat all the drivers like crap. and another thing celadon likes doing many people don't know about. they spy on the drivers in every way possible. cell phone taps, computer hacks, etc.

believe me. you go to celadon. you are making a huge mistake. and if you do happen to go to work for celadon. you will get the feeling that they are taking a s** on your life. and are wipping there a*s with your career. no! wait! that's not a feeling! celadon realy does do that
