Good people, bad money. Same story as most carriers, you are basically a company driver who is taking all of the financial risk for them.

The two things that they had going for them were,
    • Quick settlements - you could sit there and watch them settle you out. The money would be in your account the next time the direct deposit went through.
    • If you were regional, you could get home a lot.

As with the many carriers I've worked for in the past, they want to see you invest a ton of money into their Highway Sales trucks, give you crappy miles, torment you on redoing already compliant logs by as much as 90 DAYS so you will become disgruntled enough to terminate your lease so that Dart may profit of the next unsuspected victim that goes into one of their terminals for orientation and affix their John Hancocks. IT IS ALL A SCAM, AND THESE CARRIERS SHOULD BE SUED!!!!!!

I am now looking for another trucking company as DART Terminated my lease and Certification. This is a warning to Dart contractors especially if they are on Blizzard's Reefer Division. They have you sit around for days without a load. Blizzard expects you to do their job for them by calling brokers, load info, directions, etc that by the time I was done, I ended up with a $2,000 phone bill. They missed my hometime 5 times, keeping me trapped on the road for 3 months while things at home were in disarray because of them. I am not even home for 2 days after deadheading from Houston,TX when I received a call from Dale at Highway Sales for me to turn in both MY TRACTOR and their trailer. His excuse is that I wasn't making any money, THE CELLPHONE BILL THRU PROSTOP (Their Company) Blizzard lying saying that all my loads were late when they were not (NOTE: Most of the time, these people are at home and dispatch in Eagan,MN has no clue as to what is going on. I called Mike Griffin of Dart's A-Team consecutively having heard nothing from him. I missed 1 phonecall, but this man had the nerve to complain after the damage has been done about the numerous voicemails I left him, yet, he uses this as an excuse as to why my phonebill was high. This man defends Dart and always finds a way of not admitting to their own screwups, so their solution is to scapegoat me for their problems and terminate my lease, in turn, STEALING MY TRUCK as I am looking for sources, another coompany, etc to see if I can get a loan for $7000 to buy them out and keep my tractor and deal directly with US Bancorp. Also, I told him that The 3 individuals at blizzard needs to be dealt with as they were not doing their jobs as they are incompetent and I and/or other drivers were paying dearly for their mistakes. Because of this statement, Mike Griffin considers this as a terrorist threat and wants to report me to the authorities. DART has totally railroaded me, cost me time, money and a bunch of headaches and will not accept any responsibility for their actions. It is no wonder why Dart wastes countless dollars of running numerous ads as they are seeking to victimize many newcomers as they are ignorant to their devious practices. My advice to you doing lease purchase programs: DON'T DO IT! Save your $ and go to a dealership and deal directly with them so that when a company royally screws you over, you can tell them what they can do to themselves! It is to my suprise that when you call OOIDA, they tell you later to don't do these lease-purchases. OOIDA, if YOU are out there, please put a blog on your website or magazine of the fraud that this really is and stop downgrading those of us who has fallen into this trap! If you are out to help truckers, WARN THEM OF THIS SCAM! If I may add, someone needs to introduce legislation that if you do a lease purchase to GUARTANTEE that driver the miles to cover payments, or either defer or pay the money when they do not fufill their obligations. I am hoping to see someone introduce class-action lawsuits in the future against these leeches for their devious actions. Yet, OOIDA, etc won't defend us. Maybe if they don't perhaps someone will step up to the plate and sue them for FRAUD!!!

Hi I read the post's on here and I just want to say Dart isn't the company to go with my husband tried the lease/purchase.He did over 4,000 miles in 9 days and only made a little over 500.00 barely enough to survive on our bill's aren't getting paid with dart.So for anyone considering them my advice is don't do it you will regret it later they give you short haul's and take payment's out daily leaving you with little money or in the hole. It's hard to get out once you are in.

This Is The Same Dart Ooida Sponsors In Their Landline Magazines And All Truckstop Magazines. Those So-called "happy Drivers" Have Been At Dart For Years And They Get Their Own Way With Older Contracts, Which Isn't Meant For Dart's Newest Victims.

I have to agree with everyone, DART is a BIG scam! To much crap to mention it all, but I will sum up the daily charges like this...we had a 4,000 mile week and only made around $500! Although we never could quite save up the money to live on while searching for another job, not to mention find the time since you have to live on the truck to survive, we finally decided we had to do something and we took the truck back...now we are always getting letters in the mail from Highway Sales (the company who leases the trucks), saying we owe them over $2000, and Dart says we owe them around $1400! So needless to say...if it doesn't work out with them (which it won't unless your stuck there and to poor to find something else), you will end up owing them in the end. Just play it smart and steer clear of DART Transit.
