Hello everyone.. just wanted to write a letter about my new employment.. I have been driving for walmart for a year now.. by far the best job I ever had.. everyone has positive attitudes, no touch freight, the best equipment.. just an unreal job.. I have been driving for 37 years now and always had to unload freight my whole life.. its a big change for sure.. and I actually look foward on going to work.. [that's a first]..They can be tough on getting on, but if you got a good record you have a good chance.. They have safety/driving bonus every quarter.. and the last one of the year comes before christmas.. just a great place to work/drive for...im what you call a happy camper!! any questions about the job fire away.. I will try to answer best i know how...

That they rarely ever, ever hire sais good things about them. Last time I read their requirements it was 3 years and a spotless record in those 3 years.
Yep Im right just checked their website, not sure if its against policy to post it here though. But youd have to assume if anyone that chinamart ooops walmart can keep you busy, but then I have seen their trailers hauled by Marten on occasion.

I actually turned down a job there years ago after a big delay after applying for a local gig that went dry in 2008. Since then I dropped my hazmat and they want this to hire on last I saw, wouldn't mind working for them on the trucking side, and only the trucking side. I think most who have been trucking for awhile consider Walmart driving job a gravy job for the experienced only. :biggrin_25519:

Good on you driver. Found yourself a job you enjoy. Nothing wrong with that. Hopefully one day I can say I've been driving for 30+ years!

Walmart has a lot of rules, and are strict and now are placing cameras in their trucks. The pay, however, is some of the best in the industry. Can't beat that pay package.

That's great to hear. I worked for them in the past so I can't complain, although they did seem a little strict. Can't complain about the pay though.
