Hey Bud........new guy here. I've talked to four different MAY drivers and they have had nothing but positive comments about MAY. They sound good to me, but what do I know ( I'm new ) . It seems there are a few on the forum that aren't real happy with them. But that's only a few.... Let us know what you think of them once you get going. Sal

Thanks alot Sal, yeah I will be sure to let everyone know how it goes Take Care

I'd like to know more about them also. I wonder if they hire drivers from LA.
-
yes they do hire from la.
Also guys look under bad trucking company on this site may has a section there.
They in my own oppinion are a decent company I just had issues with my dispatcher.
I do know there is a guy from Denver that quit because of issues with pay he had worked there for 4 weeks more than I did.
The only reason that I know about this is the guy had the same trainer that I was out with and my trainer told me about it after the guy called him and told him what was going on.
The guy had thae same dispatcher as me.
They guy started in a volvo and then before he left he was in a 07 pete 387.
He parked it on day at the yard and told them if he does not get all that was owed to him that the truck will not move with him driving it.
Nay did not pay him what he thought that he was owed and he caught a bus and got the heck out of there. -
Well if I let 1 (or 2) bad experiences affect my decision making, I wouldn't drive for any company. I'm not worried about the few bad reports pertaining to May. What I'm concerned about with them is there aren't many good reports to counter the bad.
Glad to hear you think they're decent. What was the dispatcher's name so if I do decide to go with them one day I can steer clear.
Oh by the way, when I said LA, I meant Louisiana, incase there's any confusion there. -
May has some clients down in Lousianna.
You will have to be on the reefer side.
One load they tried to send me on was from Golden Co to Bossier City La with coors they was only going to give me two days to get it there and I had to go the shortest route which would of taken me aprox 24 hours driving time not including fueling and I could not pick up untill 11pm and it had to be there early the 2nd day I told them not even going to try that one. -

The site says $500 weekly for training. Then 30cpm, 32cpm @ 6mos, 33cpm @ 9mos, 34cpm @ 12mos.
Then 1/2cpm raise every 6mos after that. -
It's almost fun to watch this site at times. It seems about every week a new company moves to the forefront and gets lots of attention, and a bunch of guys soon head off to the outfit. This week it's May. Which company will it be next week?
