Hi everyone!!! One of my commercial driver listeners asked me to come aboard and help out with your phenomenal health section. Disclaimer is still the same (all advice should be coordinated with your personal physician, any questions on prostate does not qualify as a prostate exam, yaddi, yaddi, yah).
Since you all do so much for this country, hope I can give back and help!!

Welcome to TTR Dr. Daliah
You found the largest active trucking community on the internet. Your presence is more than welcome. I'm sure there are plenty of drivers that can use your advice.
I'll give others a chance first. I have a few questions myself.DrDaliah Thanks this. -
Welcome aboard and glad to have you on The Truckers Report.............DrDaliah Thanks this. -
Hey there Doc. My buddy J is the one who sent you a note telling you to come visit. My question is what is the story with PSA? Do I ask my doctor for one or not. I'm 65.
DrDaliah Thanks this. -
I say Hell yah!! I'm a huge fan of PSA screening for prostate cancer even though the US Preventative Task force isn't. Any of my personal patient's in whom I've diagnosed prostate cancer were extremely relieved to have been screened early. Yes, some could be falsely positive and going through a biopsy can be pretty tormenting, but a screen to see where your level is (and remember if it is normal and rises more than 1/2 point in a year it could be concerning) doesn't hurt.
And quit calling yourself "Old Timer". 65 is still middle aged!!!

Hi gc!!
I've heard cardiologists retesting after sent placement anywhere from a week to 6 months. Its really dependent on the cardiologist and when he prefers to to test.
Here's a site that can also give you some more information:
