Hello all,
Looking to get ether a frige or cooler for my truck. I have zero knowledge past a traditional ice filled cooler with beer. I'm out usually 3-4 nights then some local and start all over again. I have a Mack pinnacle without the passenger seat so I have room. What do you all run with and any suggestions for me? Thank you.
Refrigerator or iceless cooler

If you have an inverter, I would get the fridge. They don't cost much more than a cooler, have a freezer, and last longer than the coolers (Coleman is the worst because the plug literally melts).

Multiply volts times amps to get watts. Then multiply by ten or the compressor won't start.
eg. Most small fridges only draw one amp x 120 volts = 120 watts x ten = 1,200 watt minimum. Use welding cable to power the inverter.
Electric motors draw way more power upon initial start-up then run at much lower current draw. -

I have 2 iceless coolers myself that I keep plugged in almost all the time. Both are koolatron brand and work very well. The nice thing about coolers is (in my case of being a company driver) if I switch trucks they can come out with no fuss at all. It'll take more time for me to take out my radio than it would my coolers. LOL I also have a Cascadia, so they have a place for a fridge built into the sleeper. I'm also a neat freak, so having a frig sitting in the passenger seat or top bunk would drive me crazy.
Just my 2 and a half cents...Blackshack46 Thanks this. -

I've had them for almost a year and the only time I've had them unplugged was over the Xmas holiday when I was off for 4 days. I keep them clean and chip off any ice that builds up around the cooler itself, so they work properly and in the compact one (I keep next to me for easy reach while driving) I keep 2, 1 quart containers of milk right next to the condenser and they stay ice cold along with all my other drinks. The big one I keep all my lunch meat, fruit, food etc...
I have these 2:
