garmin has a new truck GPS coming out around this coming fall . its called 465t it is set up for trucks this will be the first for Garmin.it has [lane assist ] truck stop locations and more .its list is around $599.00 but will sale for around $499.00 I'm hearing . I looked around for months for a GPS and got me a Garmin 765t it has lane assist ". It's really great it shows witch lane you need to be and will tells you in enough time to.you haft to plug it in to the cig outlet to hear it. As long as you keep the windows up and don't have the c b are any thing else on you should be able to hear it OK. The only thing about the new 465t that will be out soon is that i don't think it will tell you where weigh station or .It does say it will keep you on truck routes by asking you what the length of the rig is how wide and height.this will be great to have if it works correct . [ cation] I've read bad things about World Nava 7" it's got Major problems." I'd stay away from this one . lyion:biggrin_25525:

I'm really looking forward to the rollout of the Nuvi 465t. I have not read anywhere if it has scales listed or not. But it does come with the FM receiver to update traffic info and get you around backups and stuff. Would be sweet if it were to tell you if the scale was open and how to get around it. :thumbleft:

But it does have the NTTS Breakdown directory and "truck friendly" points of interests. I'm guessing this is truck stops and such. It's also a Bluetooth unit so you can sync it with your phone and use the Nuvi as a hands free device. It's really pretty neat.

Looks nice, but who here is going to buy one to test it for us? To see if it is better than that crappy ALK gps. I would think Chicago would be a great place to test its low bridge ability.

I plan on getting it myself. I also heard June is when it comes out. But I guess I need a job to find out if it works!!:biggrin_25511:

But if I have a job by then and I have the money I WILL have one and post the review promptly.

I have the Garmin Street Pilot 330 in all my trucks. It is truck route specific. Garmin does not make it anymore but you can find them refurbished for under 100 bucks

Thanks for the input on this unit. I've been seeing them at all the truck stops I was in last week just didn't have enough $'s with me. Also wanted to get some feedback before I made another mistake. I first bought a PC Miler in April when I found 1. What a piece of crap. I have a small garmin that I bought 3 years ago and it never lead me the wrong way, however that was a unit for my car. I'll be heading out in a big rig again this week and want to have one on board again.
    Thanks Again
