Sharp looking truck. Feels like its getting rare to see new pickups rolling out of the factory with clearance lights on the roof.
GearWarrant Thanks this. -
Kinda.... If the truck comes from the factory over 80 wide it needs the clearance lights per DOT. Some trucks are not over 80 , but can have an aftermarket bed added to them - then you need the lights. On F350 SWD and Ram 3500 SWD it is an option- but step up to a DRW - its mandatory.
Amber lights means the vehicle is heading towards you. Red lights means that the vehicle is heading the same direction as you are. This is super important because a vehicle can be in your lane and if you see amber lights then you know it may be trying to pass another vehicle and a potential danger is present. If red lights are ahead, then you automatically know that a wider vehicle is ahead and it may be traveling slower than you so beware.
Lite bug Thanks this. -

I pretty much meant all of them in general. I guess mostly SRW. Seeing more and more without roof clearance lights.

Congrats on your first run Gear. Just finished my 5th as a trucker and so far so good.

I agree. Lots of negativity on this forum but I suspect much of it comes from disgruntled 18whl drivers.

Maybe off topic here but I have a 09 GMC Duramax and was wondering what other owners use for oil? 5-40 Mobile1 seems to be popular.

So it's been over a month. Still in the game?
