OK I understand what you are saying but you and others miss an important point - the cost per mile is not important, maybe he is running it at a lose for a reason.
A few people will do this, I know a couple who use their one business to offset their gains in another - the local football team owner did this for years and made it policy never to invest enough to make the team successful.
On the other hand, he is paying you, I know it is a PIA with scheduling and all of that but he may be just doing what the customer is telling him they want.
Am I crazy? Or is this going about it the wrong way?
