I have had to pass on a few wide but light loads. I have spent several hours looking on the internet for extendable wide load mirrors. I found some from one of the postings here at: The Trailer Shoppee. They look ok but I like to check out alternatives and feedback before I spend $800 for a set of mirrors. I like their idea but does it work in the real world? I have looked at the mobile home mirrors but they are more money and are made for the larger trucks. Plus leaving all that iron hanging in the wind would not help the fuel mileage. Thank you.

Have you tried Iowa 80. you may be able to adapt something from there.

What brand truck. Most dodge dually's have flip up mirrors that are a little further out than standard mirrors. Dealer cost on those were about $375 in 2007. Don't know if those would be enough or not.

I would check with your dealer to make sure they are the right ones for your truck

I have a 04 GMC 3500 crew cab. I am looking for mirrors for 12-14 foot loads. I was looking for mirrors to hang from a ladder rack or some other ideas.

Might look into mounting to a grill guard to improve the viewing angle. I think there'd be a fairly limited market for accessories to haul that wide with a pickup, it'll likely need to be a custom unit to do the job well.

The trailer shope mirrors are an awsome set of mirrors for wide loads. I have them on my 2015 ram 3500 and they were on my 2012 and swapped right over.
