Parked your truck after a long period of driving (especially at night) and briefly had the sensation you're still moving?
Backed into a parking spot, the guy next to you starts to pull out and your tired brain screams at you that you are the one moving?
And these would apply more to the "old timers"....
Pulled over for a power nap over the steering wheel, dreamed that you were going off the shoulder and snapped awake white knuckled on the wheel and pounding the brake pedal through the floor?
Done the same and came wide awake 20 miles away with no memory of having driven that distance? (I did this, scared the hell out of me and was a big reason I quit using Trucker's Candy)
Driven in the pre-dawn fog wondering if that big airplane you just passed on the side of the road was real or if you're seeing things again? I did and it was. An old WW2 Avenger that the Forestry uses to spray for spruce budworm had engine trouble, landed on the highway and they pushed it into a guy's driveway with the engine/prop facing the road. Those things are huge at less than 30 feet.
Have you ever....??

I have parked in a truckstop, parallel along a curb, with no-one in front of me, went to sleep with the sleeper curtain closed, then woke up and opened the curtain and saw a truck parked in front of me and thought I was about to rear-end him and pulled the trolley bar down like really fast. (cab over days).

I generally know its time to pull over and sleep when I see little Kapuchin monkeys in US Army outfits hitch-hiking on the side of the road!

I never do the power nap in the driving seat. I go to the bunk. Subconsciously that tells your brain its OK to sleep there.

and to think i stopped and bought them a round of drinks......!!!!! -
I had the driving dream sleeping in the bunk and woke up and was in the front seat smashing the brakes before I even realized what was going on. -
I used to see people on the side of the road . . . time to take a nap.
