Ok for all the drivers out there that ask for advice yet when the experienced drivers give it to them all they want to do is complain, say we are trying to hold you back, or we just have a grudge against new drivers :biggrin_25521: This thread is for you. Whenever you think we are just being mean and trying to hold you back come to this thread and it will make you feel all better.

Recruiters will never lie to you. Their word is golden. Dispatchers will never lie to you. Their word is also golden. You won't need a trainer because you already know what this industry is all about and how to drive. You will never have a truck that breaks down. Coming right out of school you will make fabulous money, the most you have ever dreamed of. You will get all the miles your heart desires. You will never get stuck in rush hour, shut down for weather, or for accidents. Four-wheelers will always act respectful to you and your truck. Shippers will load you right on time if not earlier all the time and deliveries will unload you as soon as you get there. You will always get home on time nothing will ever hold you back from getting home.

Now that should answer all the questions just the way you wanted to hear them. Now have fun in your own little world I for one need to get back to reality :biggrin_25514: :biggrin_25522: :biggrin_25523:

You forgot that leases are for the benefit of the driver. They are for the sole purpose of making the driver lots of money, while training him to go into competition with his employer when he gets his truck paid for.

You may also want to add that you will be able to stop anywhere you want along your travels to eat and sight-see. There will never be a full truck stop or rest area ... ever.

Your bunk is comfortable and warm and no matter how hot it gets outside your cab remains a brisk 65*. Your employer, of course, has installed a Wii in your truck long with a swing armed flat panel.

Your longest Grocerie Load wait time will be 20 minutes.

Your trailer always co-operates with your steering commands and every dock is clear so you will never pull a pig out of the dock to have someone else pull up and slide into the dock before you hook back up.

Every Lot Lizard is healthy, beautiful and free and is conversant about Nascar and fishing. Your wife pays the bills without complaint and ever since you started trucking your kids became Summa Kum Laude in school, which they have vowed to pay you back for.

Yes, trucking is a lifestyle. A lifestyle of Hope, Joy, Puppies and Sunshine.

Don't forget that CR England, Werner, Covenant, US Xpress, CRST, and Swift are the only companies for newbies to start their careers with and retire from. One will never find a better company that cares about one's family than any of these.

This note should go to all the so-called "experienced professionals" as well who, the second things slow down for cause, are on the radio ######## as if they've never experienced a delay before.

    Good post, trukngrl!

But if for some unknown reason you just don't enjoy the lavish treatment you get there...Celadon will always have a new truck for you every three years and the accomodations they will make for you are awe inspiring
