I said I was tired of vets being exploited by carriers and would do my part to remove obstacles . I contacted recruiting and here is part of their reply .

There is a limited number of openings because they are a BFI with a huge turnover but this does show it is BS for carriers to say you need to start out at low training pay . With QC you go to one week paid orientation then start out at full pay (varies by affiliate) while spending a week or two with a trainer to become familiar with unloading procedures

QC is buying Macks right now . Here's a road test of the Pinnacle with the MDrive transmission that was featured in "Overdrive " http://www.overdriveonline.com/test-drive-6/ .
I'm glad I got the info from QC . They remove all the obstacles the BFI's use to tell experienced vets that have to be low paid trainees . The one minor obstacle now is getting the hazmat but QC will reimburse that as well as TWIC and passport .

SHC and The Challenger Thank this.

As much as a pain in the butt my TERMINAL was, I still highly respect QC as a company. This just reaffirms my respect. I was just told my old terminal company was bought out and is now owned by another affiliate, so of I ever leave LS I will be going back for sure!!!

QC only owns about a dozen terminals now and the rest are affiliate owned . My boss owns the terminal in Owensboro , 2 in Calvert City , and the one in LaPorte , TX . They are the best people I ever work for but I don't know about the other affiliates . There is a driver retention office in Tampa drivers can talk to if they have problems.
As far as vets go I don't think they'll find a better deal . They have quite a few regional runs with weekly hometime .

    The Challenger Thanks this.
