I totally agree! Where can you go and make 35,000 your first year? Then 50-60k in 3 years? Trucking is the only job I've had that's been that good to me. Have to get used to the lifestyle and keep your DMV clean, but after that you can be in good shape. My daughter is in college right now and I'm terribly worried for her when she graduates. She will have student loans too. I know several people who have no job with a college degree. Business and computers mostly. They were making good money for a while but no they are taking low paying jobs that teenagers would usually have. Pretty sad what's going on in this country these days.

I think it depends on the felony and when. I worked for FredEx Express & if I remember correctly, the #1 dis-qualifier was theft.

One thing that might come up working LTL will be having a hazmat
endorsment. There are some felonies that will allow for a hazmat after 7 years, but some felonies are lifetime bans on obtaining a
hasmat endorsement. Some companies will let a person with a
felony drive if they passed the fingerprint and FBI background check
that TSA runs on anyone who applies for hazmat or a TWIC card. -
Nothing wakes you up better than passing a Fed Ex driver. It's like trying to get by a pissed off Snake. I think they must steer with their knees or something.
Bumpy Thanks this. -
its odd a trucking company wont hire you cause of a felony, but you can still go out and get your twic card with one

Hey Jadera...not sure about UPS, but when I was in cdl training, a fedx recruiter came in, I asked that question and got a big "No"...in fact, he told me if you have ever...yes EVER...had a DUI, you can't drive for them. I don't know if you're lookin for you, or someone else, but it's tough being a felon. That so-called debt to society is never paid...least that's been my experience. Sorry.

Agreed. I've made some poor choices in life, but am trying to put all that behind me. It'll be 7 years in March since I've had so much as a speeding ticket. I have a wife and four kids. I have a 4 year college degree and my class A's, yet still can't provide well enough. Thanks for the comment. -
What's the name of the company?
