Waaa.... I've never been at that AC&T in Hagerstown... I thought it might be congested... I wanted an easy in and out...
Drove from 2:30am east time till 11:30 am today....
Delivered this morning.... Surprisingly had no difficulty backing to the dock...Did it well first time with no pull ups... Not much space at all in front of me... had to keep truck and trailer at an angle...
Receiver lady was impressed... said some guys take one hr... to be honest, I was impressed with myself too... One of those times when I do it as a professional...
Parked at a Pilot for fuel in Newburgh, NY....
A great spot but decided to drive to as close as I could to next delivery in CT...
Called receiver to see if they could unload me today... but after talking to "weird" older gentleman on the phone... he had a foreign accent... from Europe maybe... calling me "honey"... wanted to make a "deal" with me... to unload the trailer... first all by myself...then, he would do half and I do half...
Then, he would have someone "professional" unloader to do the whole trailer but only if I arrived after noon... When I asked him how long it would take to unload, he told me not to worry my little head... And didn't give me any guarantee I could park at the small parking lot till tomorrow morning... So... after consulting my HOS, talking with DSP, etc I decided to follow the original plan and deliver tomorrow morning...
Now I am at a nice and quiet rest area in CT about 30 mins from receiver...
After empty will head to another place in CT for reload and then head south to Panama City, FL...I thanked my DSP for that... She knows I don't tolerate cold and snow very well... Hopefully the weather will be less ugly down there... Shall see...
Parked Here for the Night

The weather today was nice here in CT where I am... sunny, but cold... very cold... and it's going to be much colder.... in the teens I heard on the radio... Shall see... Said there may be some light snow in the morning but one inch or so... So far it's all dry out there...

I am parked in a ditch along side I 80 at the 183 mile marker in Iowa. Ran up on a snow plow in the dark. He was kicking up so much snow that none of his lights were visible. It was like coming into a hole. There was an old Star Trek episode about it. Two suvs and I continued on straight while slowing down. Unfortunately for me the road curves. No damage, no injuries, just stuck off the road about 15 feet.
It was good to know that in Iowa when a truck is forced off the road that it isn't a big deal. I mean, not on son of a ##### stopped to see if I was dead or alive.
Be safe -
New Road Ranger/pilot I70 exit 146 in IL. Just west of the scales and rest area.
Place is open but half the truck parking area is full of construction stuff.
Couple of inches of snow but it's mostly loose and not turned to packed ice yet. Plows were running across IN, worst spot was in Indianapolis.
Heading for SoCal. -

Disrupting my GA to PA circuit for a ride down to NOLA. Judging by some of the reports, the timing is perfect. Half a truckload to begin with and kicking half of that off right here at Sysco Atlanta. When they're done, I'll work my way down to the Hammond Petro for a second stop around the corner in the morning.

Just got some fuel here in Utica Illinois at the loves. The wheel holder next to me pulls off and gets back on highway with a ton of snow covering his taillights. I just don't get theses new breeds. Well better refill wiper fluid. Ran out going through Gary. Not at lot of accidents but roads were pretty slick through there. Y'all take it easy Dino is back Rollin. Yeee haww
