I used to wonder why the economy used to suck while I was still doing well. Once I became a trucker and seen so many people from all over the country complain and quit every few months, it made me notice how many lazy non-workers America has. I can just look at a new trucker now and can tell he won't make it. I have only been driving for three years and treated like a 30 year vet with the same company when I visit HQ. The managers talk about how I am such a great driver who has been with them for a long time to other employees in the office while I am there. They are a great company and high paying, people just dont want to work. People want to be home every day and make $2000 a week profit part time and have weekends and holidays off.
My dad raised me to work as hard as possible while remaining professional and clean and it really pays off. I am treated like a king at my company. If I want a month off, they will give it to me without question. Some truckers ask me why my truck is so clean or why my clothes are new... it makes a difference when you look homeless and your truck smokes up the whole lot. Sadly I am sure I am talking to you if you are reading this since it is rare to see a trucker who doesn't look like he got thrown out of a moving vehicle.

I see nothing wrong with his post.Hes accomplished what veterans of 30 yrs have never done..He sounds like the model driver for his company.Unfortunately other companies don't treat any of their drivers the way this company treats him.He works hard and it pays off.

Thanks patty. I trash talk on this forum for fun but in real life I get things done without an excuse. I suppose this site is an outlet so I won't complain in real life.

Well,i couldnt see taking a month off, most companies would probubly tell you to bring the truck in so someone else could use it,then you'd get a different one when you returned.i avoid our yard,to much bs and ### kissing.im no pretty boy, lots of tats, and long hair,we keep lots of new shorts and shirts though, but i dont have late loads, tickets, wrecks,or csa points.......but good for u man
Skydivedavec Thanks this. -

Good for you newnashguy. I was raised the same way. My dad always said work hard and dont complain. Sounds like what parents would say to someone growing up in a fascist dictatorship but hey i see the merits of the mentality. Over time "hard work" becomes second nature and everyone worships you for just doing your job and what comes natural to you.pattyj and NewNashGuy Thank this. -
You've only got 30 or so to go.

Somebody give this young whippersnapper a lesson in HUMILITY!! Goodness gracious dude. You must be somewhere near cloud 9 all that hot air you have. Let others pat you on the back dude, and I know this is the look at me generation, but still fight it with all your power. I ain't Never!!
