Today i actually ran with a Prime driver. no joke. it was only for about 30 miles or so but i did. we were on 231 south heading from Troy,Al.-> and he was running low on fuel and voiced that he may not make it to the Flying Hook.i decided to roll behind him until my turn off past Midland City,Al. in order to assist if he did run out of fuel. he did not but we carried on over the cb and it was pretty cool.that is the slowest i have ever driven thru there or anywhere actually but about the time that he declared that his days were less stressful after moving to Prime,i had been thinking that my day was all of sudden less stressful. a DOT bear rolled by headed north and he missed him,i did not,but what did it matter at 55?
whoever you are Prime driver,it was really a pleasure to run with you for that short trip and i hope that you made it to where you needed to be.
who would of thunk such?
Okay back to reality and my form of easing along. I ran with an American Furniture? truck that was running about 10 over on I65 north of monkeytown and was a great front door until i couldn't take it anymore and had to leave him and take his front door. he faded back but i made the calls over the air as per the truck driver job description just in case he could still hear me.if he couldn't,my bear reports helped somebody out there.ya'll are welcome even though no one ever even told me to eat shoo and die, which would be better than no reply after giving accurate bear reports.
you slow drivers have no need huh? that is IF you even run a cb radio.
i still think that you'd appreciate knowing where the DOT is located even if you can't run the posted speed limit and then some-
I had a great day. Really.

There too many who do not run with radios.

Ok, noob question here. How do you know what channel the truck near you is on?
I have a radio in my truck but it is mainly for talking to loader operators in gravel pits. It is not a big radio and I don't think it is optimally set up either so I don't go out far and lose other radios pretty quick. I am working on taking care of this. This is the first truck I have driven with a radio.
When I get around town I would like to here some reports.
Sorry for the rookie question. Maybe I should ask in the radio section.
Glad you had a good day x#1. -

Rough trucking day. These are how most of them go:
1. Wake up and have coffee
2. Take a nice hot shower at the truck stop.
3. Have some more coffee.
4. Drive a couple of hours and stop for fuel
5. Go on a 3.5 mile power walk/jog
6. Take off driving again
7. Groove to music on Sirius radio
8. Talk to wife and friends on headset
9. Finish off the day with 544 miles
10. Have a turkey sandwich dinner
11. Recline in the sleeper with the Mochilla cooler blowing on me
12. Do a little texting and web surfing
13. Get some shut eye so I can do it all over again tomorrow
Isn't that hard? ☺Mattnatti and Voyager1968 Thank this. -
How do you run low on fuel? He's company they do it all for you and if low they'll say hey stop here. Seeing too many drivers run out of fuel. If I get to a 1/ 4 tank and no I can't make their fuel stop I call and give me one closer, if I'm running low and going to an area where there are none I call and fuel before I get in a situation like that.

Turn your CB off and drive your truck.
Mattnatti Thanks this. -
I'm running the speed limit, equipment is legal and I'm not doing anything illegal. I really don't care where the "bears" are. Got rid of my CB in 2009 and haven't missed it once.
Ebola Guy Thanks this. -
Some of the best moments I've had on the road was running a convoy around stopped interstate traffic. Thank you CB
