I work for a company where I am home only 3 days a month (that is if they let me go home to begin with) and since i've been an OTR driver for 2 years and was homeless for about a year before that I decided to move back in with my parents. Their address is my Home of Record and they don't usually mind me being there 3 day a month.
but the last few times I have been home has been full of drama. There have been multiple fights about me being there and they act like they don't want me there. They also remind me that I am a guest in their house but yet they don't treat me like a guest.
I have given some thought to getting an apartment, but since i'm never home that seems like a waste of money (my parents do agree) and I do not have a girlfriend, nor will I ever, so I can't even stay with her.
my point is what should I do? i'm invited but i'm not treated like i'm invited, i'm treated like i'm a 25 year old unemployed child who lives in their house with no actual ambitions
When I first started with this company I was going home every weekend but we lost that customer (my companies incompetence) but I forget what I did.
Should I just suck it up and deal with it for the 3 days i'm home? or what should I do?
a little advice about where to live

browndawg Thanks this. -
Thought you said you were 25 not 15?
Only go to your parents home for resets and take your time off elsewhere.Ruthless and joseph1135 Thank this. -
Have you offered to compensate them? The cheapest rat-infested motel would be $100 for 3 nights -- I bet offering that to your parents would help them feel like they're not being taken advantage of for storing whatever stuff you have, keeping your mail, & probably picking you up and dropping you back off at your truck...

and my mom doesn't mind picking me up and dropping me off, because she knows i'll fuel her vehicle -
You're not the first driver on here with the same problem.
The solution is the same; move your residence to another state.
Pick a state with no personal income taxes; Nevada, Texas, Wyoming, Florida.
For starters, get an address through Mailboxes, Etc or UPS Store; make some sacrifices and get out of that situation.bergy, allniter, Speedloader and 8 others Thank this.
