It probably is. Check this ad out: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/trp/4729867015.html
Looking for drivers to haul mail, 23-25 bucks an hour plus OT. Does anyone really believe this? Jobs like these you don't really see advertising for. It sounds to me like a staffing agency trying to lure you to apply, then you never hear back about this job because its filled, but you hear about the other opportunities available that don't pay too well.
Is it me? Or does anyone really believe this?
If it sounds too good to be true...

unloader Thanks this. -
No these ads are true some companies what they don't tell you is, if you go say, 5 hours to a mail facility and have to wait 3-4 hours for a return load, you don't get paid those 3-4 hours ..

The driver in the picture looks happy...so I say it is true...I start tomorrow.

Staffmark is an employment agency. So just like a company recruiter, they will say anything to get you to register, in the hopes that sooner or later, they can make some money off you.

The hourly rate is correct.... sort of.
Most hourly rates you see advertised is based on a 40 hour work week. It's the way they average out what the pay is compared to hourly even though you are working an 14 hour shift. But with Staffmark, you actually do make an hourly wage since it's a temp co.. If you get a good hourly gig with them, it's great! You can really make some decent money, and if you travel overnight, you get paid hourly while you are on your 10 hr too. Getting a team gig is even better. I used to team with my hubby and when I quit (got preggers on the road lol) he wanted to stay close to home and signed on with them. Best decision because it landed him a good perm job making "$31 and hour" = $61k yrly, where he comes home 3-4 days a week driving reefer with good benefits and 3 weeks yrly vacation time. The possible down side is they have other temp jobs that are short lived, no benefits, cruddy equipment, or too low of pay that you can possibly get stuck with jumping from one to another. The holidays are coming and they pay extra for temp mail drivers. We did it running back and forth one december from portland oregon to Fargo, ND. Miles were good, weather was awful.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -

The ad is real, but it is for a temporary position. Staffmark is good company, but they are a temp agency. They pay a good hourly wage because they save by not giving you any benefits. No sick days, health insurance, vacation............ It is good for a short term job
