Storms do happen. Be prepared!!! In the winter, sometimes you do get stuck in less than desirable places. Sometimes for a few days. Have some things to help you survive and be somewhat comfortable.

    1. Nature will call. Be prepared. A garbage can and a bag works in extreme situations.

    2. Cans of tuna, beef jerky, soups or canned pasta that you can eat cold if needed

3 Baby wipes/ clean wipes to help you stay clean

    4. Extra blankets/ clothing.

    5. Books/ movies to pass the time

    6. A smartphone or a wireless internet connection to read TTR!

These are some items to help in situations such as what's going on in buffalo and surrounding areas. Being stranded is no fun, but having non-perishable food and water can save your life. Be safe!

Don't forget the supply of fresh water. I always carry at least a gallon jug for general usage, along with the single-serving plastic bottles of same.

I could go backwards through it at 60 MPH. Funny how the 1st snow stops Buffalo but 20 ft later on will just make them happy.
Hey Joseph, if there is no GOD then explain why animals, human s and fish have eyes. Ya! Explain the eye to me in laymans terms.

Anyone who doesn't believe there is a GOD has never flown a single engine airplane on a 500 mile trip.

That's funny! I know a driver who got his ##### hurt so bad he has to exaggerate what was said to make himself feel better!

On to the original topic... I'm always amazed by the number of drivers who travel into areas prone to heavy snows without a shovel of any sorts. It can make the difference between being drifted in and having the room to rock yourself out.

They all have eyes so they can see, evolution caused fish to have eyes first, since they don't have arms arms and couldn't feel for what they were looking for. And it stuck.

Matter of fact, it's a good idea to have that emergency stuff all the time. True story: I once got stuck for 3 days at a mineral plant in Montana waiting on a load of titanium dioxide. Machines went down and dispatch refused to let us leave because we were out in the butt crack of nowhere over Thanksgiving. Peanut butter and jelly crackers for turkey day that year, but at least we didn't starve.

Needless to say, I now carry enough food I could have fed everyone there. :)
