This question goes out to anyone who has worked the Meade (mwv) account in the past.

to make this short and sweet:

Im temporarily assigned to the account to help.
    im at the ATLANTA location.
aside from knowing my destinations and general tasks, I have zero info.
im to pick up an empty, haul it to the mill in Al and then bring a full back. (Drop n hook job)

As it stands, this place is a mess and nobody knows a #### thing... All the trailers here are sealed and the ones that aren't (that I can use) have crap in them.

If you happen to be an SNI employee as well then that's awesome; but at this point I'm looking for any help I can get. These ######## asked for the help, I'm on elogs and I've started and am now wasting my 14. I've been here 3 hours and can't get a helpful answer from anyone.

(I have talked to a few ex-drivers from this account, but their tips have all been deadends.)

Lesson learned, but I still need the help! ...and anyone who wants updates, watch the rant thread about 3am est...

Hmmm. I don't work for Schneider, but I've been in that situation. Got to love it when your company just says, it's there, keep looking.

Don't worry about your hours. Just do as much as you can do legally and communicate everything with your computer. The less phone calls the more evidence you have with that on board communicator.

Grab one and go. I don't play trailer games. If my job consists of what you described....that is as close to "empty" as Alabama's gonna get.
Life is too short, and I was looking for a job when I found this one.

Hell, I was about ready to. The guard that works their ridiculous, there will be a rant thread on the stupid darts later, but this particular one had a very special kind of stupid. It's the kind where you have to call and speak with them 5-9 times, explain what you're looking for, ask to be taken off speakerphone, and only after you gotten all of God and creation involved do they remember that there's another lot you need to check.

There were some trailers there which were full of scrap, but I was told not to get one of those as they go elsewhere.

eventually I did find one, but if you're going to hire a security guard he needs to know a hell of a lot more about the lot…

Or another version of the "Find A Empty Trailer" game is dispatch says "go to So & So Co and get a empty". After searching in vain you call dispatch to report there are no empties there. So then dispatch says "go to Blah Blah Co and get a empty", again you call dispatch to report no empties here either. Dispatch tries to send you to a third company for a empty "and so on and so on and scobey dobey dewww" :biggrin_25525:. Unless you the driver ends this game dispatch will send you to an infinite # of companies in search of the elusive empty trailier :biggrin_25512:. I will go to 4 places or spend 2 hours looking for a empty. After that I tell dispatch "I'm going to bed, shoot me a message when you can give me a empty trailer number". Otherwise they push you & push you to see how much you'll take.
Like back in the outlaw days if you did a favor for dispatch like run a hot load nonstop some expect you to do it again & again unless you tell them "look I will do you a favor occasionally but dont expect it every load". You have to draw a line in the sand!

Not half bad. Had a few supertruckers heckling my freightshaker going up some hills, but after seeing "the twist" they let it alone and realized I was loaded down.

The biggest pain in the butt was all the traffic lights inside Atlanta and the skinny roads, at some point I considered taking up both lanes on my side to keep anyone from passing me and causing an accident. Thought that might incite a ticket from the local police though. (Delivery took place about 4-6 miles from The Varsity. Could've rented a book from Ga Tech's library while I was there.)

    icsheeple Thanks this.
