Which is a better road from Columbus, OH to Charleston, WV: US 33 to I77 or US 35? Just wondering which is better with regard to hills, curves, etc.

I take 35 all the time. It's a good road. Turns into 2 lane for a stretch in WV but you can still run 55 the majority of it.

    tustultuses and ncmickey Thank this.

I like US 35.only a couple big hills and curves. Hardly any construction. A few rest areas and truck stops. And some pretty scenery.....
good speed limits... Just watch out for Highway Patrol ...they are always around...

35 for all the reasons stated above. I run that way several times/month. Two more good reasons: If you have a load that needs scaled, there's a Pilot 20 miles south of Columbus on 23 near Circleville (that's the route I take to 35). The last time I took 33, I couldn't find anywhere to scale for about 90 miles. I try to avoid the Pilot at 70/270. Second reason is I like the A&A truck stop on 35. It's really nothing special, but it's an old mom & pop and I don't want them to go away. They have good spaghetti and decent liver and onions.

I'm sorry but there is no such thing as "decent liver and onions."

35 is a great road, plus there's a Walmart on the Ohio side that has a Gold Star Chilli at it. Yum......

Definitely 23s to 35. After you leave the pilot light in circleville, there are no stops to charleston. All 60 and 70 mph road, with the exception of the 10-15 mile stretch of 2 lane in wv. 33 is the long way around, and the road turns to $### in wv.

I use to run 23 to 35 all the time. Saves ALLOT of time. Grab a big coffee in Circleville and it will last you to Charleston. Easy run.
