What is the best truck to buy for flatbeding work? also aluminum or combo trailers? 48ft or 53ft?

any one will do, but something with a longer wheelbase (especially room between back of sleeper and rear axles) will give you room for headache rack, boxes, etc.. and maybe a couple feet of overhang off the front of the trailer would be handy.

if you going flatbed, i owuld say a 13spd transm, great for hills (half gears) or city, you cna drive it like a 9. mid roof for sure, engine, well they dont make what i wnat anymore lol. trucks, well find aon ethat looks pretty to you. most of htem sahre the same axles/brakes/tires transmissins/(if im wrong i will get corrected)

Brand doesnt matter to much. Buy whats you want. As others have said, get a mid roof since they have better aerodynamics for flatbed. I like FreightLiner since they are light. A lot of Flatbed loads are heavy and pay more if you can haul more. I ran an aluminum trailer to save weight to. When i ran flatbed i drove a 379 pete that weighed 25,000 pounds with full tanks and a benson aluminum trailer that weighed 7000. I could haul 48,000 pounds of cargo. No if you get a Freghtliner columbia, the truck only weighs like 18,000. With an aluminum trailer you can haul 55,000 pounds.
