Argh Reefers to many grocery places in the middle of the night and since im the dispatcher/ check calls and emails office girl for our truck I would be awake in the middle of the night (not happening) trying to talk JJ into a stepdeck and running bankers hrs bahhahahahaha

Lol this is funny. I have 6 trucks running power only. And I used revenue from that to purchase hopper trailers for the 3 more trucks I have coming. There is plenty money in power only freight if you shop around. The best I've found is USA the pay is a little lower than some but freight is constant. Their loads avg 1.80 a mile right now that's including deadhead. I even sometimes get loads at 2.10 a mile again that includes deadhead. And I'm not the only one who has built a company doing this. A buddy of mine has 8 trucks running power only out of Oklahoma big dog trucking. And I know of another with 11 trucks out of Alabama CJL Cartage. So yes there is plenty money in it. And less expense. You have to shop around though. I tried a few trucks running JB loads no good. I tried the power only brokers from the freight boards. But the best I've got is what I do. But I tried a lot of things out here. You can run landstar also using their trailer as well for a fee of course.

The company USA you speak of where are they out of? Do they have a website? Thank you. I do power only on a contract out of Laredo.
