i work at TQL and want to branch out and do my own company. yes i do have a non compete, but would not violate. would branch out and starting another dispatch and/or 3pl and hire locally or outsource to a different company or set of people?

has anyone done ANYTHING SIMILAR this?

i want to create a web based business operable anywhere by computer.

I would be very very very careful about it due to the non-compete which is also a non-solicit. You may want to consult an attorney. TQL along with CH Robinson and all the brokerages have much more money and will vigorously enforce these agreements. Look at XPO and CH Robinson. Or just Google any brokerage and non-compete and you will see lawsuits.

Not trying to rain on your parade. Just trying to be realistic.

I agree -- speak with an attorney first. non-competes are full of little twists and turns in verbage. and like the post above, they have more money to throw and their own legal dept to keep you from branching out.
