I booked the load with Pete from CHRobinson, and 5 minutes after, he sold it to someone else for cheaper price, claiming that while we were on the phone someone else booked the load from the same office??? You have to be either SO SLOW or so stupid!

CHRobinson is no longer the brokerage company we used to know.

They are cheap, and probably hiring people who won't require a high pay- unprofessional sales people.

Every once in a while it happens an it makes you mad. Just put it behind you and try to find something better. It's all a part of doing business.

I know. I remember times, when my truck would break down. So trucking companies do the same. And I bet brokers would be mad as well. I just, didn't expect it from CHRobinson... And probably I overreacted, cause I was in a really bad area, where was no loads whatsoever, and it was the only one. I believe, if the load from Chicago would've been cancelled, I wouldn't care. I just really needed that load. But, after he cancelled on me, I found one even better. So maybethings happens for better.

He might have been telling you the truth. If you were in a bad area, I am sure others were calling on the same load. I have had the same thing happen to me with CH and others. There is nothing you can do about it. And you said that a better paying load came along, so it worked out in your favor. It is just part of this business. I have been offered rates and waited for a better rate and lost the one I probably should have taken to keep moving. But, that is the nature of the freight business. With most brokers, such as CH Robinson, there are good and bad personnel. There is one office that I have a lot of dealings where one guy will give me very good rates and another in the same office that usually low balls me on rates. It is the same for most brokers. You can't take it personally. Brokers want to move a load at the least cost and truckers want the highest rate. Both can't get what they want at the same time.

I am new here but I have been a silent watcher and reader. I have had horrible experiences with CHR, they are rude and don't care that you sat 10hrs to get loaded and then get pissed that your delivery needs to be changed. I have had such horrible treatment from brokers until yesterday, I had a load to Mass needed to get back to MO, dispatcher found me a paper load, called the broker and held my breath, Tina answered and was amazing she knew what she was doing, did not rush me off the phone made me feel like I was appreciated. I was in shock, seems this company Main Freight has been around along time so they must be doing something right!!

Any organization will have some bad apples. Check with other offices and find one who is personable and will help keep you moving. At one time CH had a program where a particular office was responsible for keeping you loaded once you hauled a certain number of loads from that office. You can call anyone at any office to help you find a load. I have spoken with two or three at different CH offices and I would not want to do business with them. But, there are others that do a good job and act in a professional manner. CH Robinson has hundreds, if not thousands of personnel in offices across the globe. There are bound to be a few bad ones working for them. If you get hooked up with the right person, they will work for you to get decent rates and to keep your truck loaded. If you don't find the right person at one office, call another office. Some offices are more aggressive than others.
