Hello group! I have an '05 Columbia with a Series 60 with over 1 million miles.. The motor is still doing pretty good. Horsepower (is at 78%) and mileage is down, but no other big issues (blow by, oil consumption, etc..) except for EGR leaks and a Delta Pressure sensor that keeps plugging up and going out of calibration.. But now, my EGR cooler has decided to develop a hole in it. The shop wants $1800 for that, so I figured why not just take it to Detroit for a rebuild since it is over a million miles.. So my question really should be.. Which rebuild to do? I'm thinking a Step 2 with added injectors, (my current injectors are 4 years old this month, and my turbo just turned 2). I would do a full Step 3 but that's just a bit beyond my current finances..

Why injectors ?

It's a fresh start. If not running Cali why not delete the egr?

Talk to detroit.
Tree was commenting to me last night the Delta-P sensor has been deleted by detroit. -
What ever you do when they open her up , have the bull gear replaced.

The injectors can be tested by Detroit to see if they are fine. How much oil between oil changes is being used? I would not rebuild it just because the EGR I would delete that and be done with it. That is just my 2 cents worth,

I would love to dump the EGR if I knew of a shop locally that could do the work.. I live near Springfield, MO.. -
Will Detroit warranty the rebuild since it has over 1 million on the motor?? I know on their website it says No so you may wanna check and if they wont warranty it consider an outside shop
