Fuel Tank Selector?

    Hello,

    1999 Freightliner FL70 box truck with 3126B Cat engine. Has two 30 gal fuel tanks. Only one tank has a fuel sender for a single gauge in dash. Tank selector looks like just two brass tees. No mechanical or electrical valves. Each tee has one line to each tank and one to the engine. I assume one tee assembly is for fuel feed and the other is for fuel return. How is this system supose to work?

    There is no selector, that is a dual draw system. It siphons from both tanks and returns to both tanks. The suction line should have a regular tee fitting. The return line should have a splitter valve, which is also a tee fitting, but has reed valves in it. It's aluminum and looks similar to a tee, but has 4 screws holding a cover on it.
