    3.08's w/ put your high gear rpms @ 65 @ approx. 1253 & 1156 @ 60. 1100 rpms w/ be 57.09 mph; 1200 w/ be 62.28 mph. Those are the rpms given me by the Pete dealer when running Michelin XDA Energy lo-pro 22.5's.

I've currently got 43705 miles on a 2014 Cascadia midroof with a 400 ISX and an Eaton Smart Shift 10 speed Auto. Don't know if it is the Evolution, but it does have all of the skirts, 80 gallon tanks instead of 100, and no external antennas from the factory. Even after adding a predator antenna and the mount to the mirror, I get 6.5-8.2 mpg. my monthly average is normally right around 7mpg. When it was new it barely got 5, but shot up in both power and mileage around the 10,000 mile mark. I run between 65-70 mph about an equal split of each speed, and Tyson doesn't believe in light loads.. 33k in the box if lucky, but mostly 41k ish. It has yet to break down, and the park smart APU seems to hold 75 degrees well for about 15 hours during the day in hot weather. I'm a lot more impressed with this truck than I figured I would be for sure.

My wife and I are driving a 2014 with the DD15, 10 speed. Loads vary from 25,000 to 40,000. Coast to coast several times. We got it new and have about 25,000 miles on it now. Overall average 7.8 mpg. Getting better as it breaks in. We are governed to 65, but most of our miles are at the governed speed. This would be a very good truck except one thing. It is a freight shaker! Man is the ride rough! Will be very happy to pass this truck on to someone else! Now if the ride was tolerable enough to get adequate sleep (like our KW 660), then this would be a fabulous truck. If you are solo, then I could recommend it, but not for teams.

    mrbmg Thanks this.

FWIW I have a 2012 Cascadia with the older DD15, 9-speed, 3.42 gears, 275/80-22.5s. My truck has the enhanced aero package (similar to an Evo). I run 65 MPH everywhere it's legal. My lifetime average is 7.65 MPG. DEF costs run about $.01 (1 cent) per mile. A broken-in Evo SHOULD do better (mileage) than my truck.

You speak as though 6.5-7.0 mpg is doable in any semi truck. Wrong. On any semi no matter what the setup is you eventually hit max mpg. You won't be able to squeeze more no matter how carefull and slow you run. Mods help and schedule maintenance but it won't make a big difference to someone behind the wheel of a Pete, W900,Classic or at least it wont amount to 7.5+mpg.
My point is better Aero dynamic trucks will get better mpg, meaning a freightliner classic xl can't compete against a Cascadia, Century if driven the same.

A friend has a 2000 fld flat top with a N14 Cummins, 13sp, gears i dont know but he says at 70mph RPM run at 1350.
    Hes averaging 7.3-7.8
So every run we make to the same place he earns about $100-125 per trip than me. I get 6.0mpg with the same setup except my rig is a classic.
