Penn cvs, the second link you gave me. What would the downsides be to replacing only one. Would it run funny or wear unevenly? Or would it just be a situation where im going to have to replace them all eventually.

Sometimes with old injectors it can be cost effective to just get a six pack done as the labor is virtually the same for one or six.

I was just thinking on getting him going again very cheap until he gets to Dallas and has a local guy do the rest of the work...It's just how i do things...I limped my truck one time 1000 miles without any low gears at all...I got it to the shop in NY and it was that sycincrinizer gear in the tranny....

    I saved 60% on what these rapists wanted in KC...and i even booked a load back...ROLMAO...Starting in 6th gear was a joy....:yes2557:

I'd agree here. The labor for opening up the overhead is the same to replace one or six. That's if you need to replace an injector. I'd get a Detroit Diesel shop to look at it, and I'd limp over to them before I'd spend any more money at Freightliner. Penn Diesel has always treated me well up that way.

I hear you there. I went to a freight Liner for an Air Leak and after 7 hrs they came up with $1700 worth of repairs.I took off like a bandit out of there & fixed it my self under 4 hrs in the TA parking lot.So Fix the wire harness. if that don't work then go deeper.
Is freightliner mostly full of crap? (My opinion.) ...........I know they Are
What are the odds of the #6 being damaged?....Same odds as a bad wiring harness giving bad signals to the ECM

I would just change the #6 injector, injector harness, re-o ring your other 5 injectors and run an overhead. One customer out of about 15 bad injectors ask for a 6 pack. Just my .02
