Trying to change the thermostats in a FL70 with Caterpillar 3126B. The bolts are out but I cannot break the thermostat housing loose from the block. Tried tapping lightly with a hammer. Now soaking with WD40. Any advice appreciated.

Use a Prybar and gently pry it away from the block.

    Johnsf Thanks this.

Thanks. I will have to find one real sharp or something cause there is no lip to catch on to. Also, seems like there is no gasket so no gap to get into.
