I had similar problem and in the shop they said - new turbo, but I didn't buy it and went to a second shop. After some time the mechanic said it is from the alternator, not providing enough current, when getting hot, if I stop the engine for some time to cool dawn and let the alternator to cool dawn, the problem disappears again. After changing the alternator the engine went back to normal.

So far we have:
1. Throttle Wiring
2. An ecm voltage pin
3. Turbo Boost sensor
4. Alternator
Honorable mentions:
5. Turbo
6. Air to Air leak (?)
7. Vpod -
Turbo boost sensor is a good call... Just a ##### to get screws out if they been in a while

Is it throwing any codes? Have the fuel filters been changed? There is very little mystery to the series 60, but a second hand account of the problem, and simply saying it loses power doesn't really help anything. Does the engine actually shut down, will it not go over 1500 rpms, etc.

The code are : 39- VNT VANES NOT RESPONDING - BOOST JAKE / 39- VNT VANES NOT RESPONDING - BOOST POWER ID S147 (288 TIMES)

Thanks for all your help!
It drives fine, no engine shut down nothing like that at all, just check engine light comes on. 1 min its ok the next 40 min (25-38 mph) then all of the sudden boosts like champ!!! and then 20 min later on its face again.. And the funny thing is The dealer has no clue on what it is... Spend all together over $6000 on this so far, and no luck!!!! Speke to a turbo guy today he said maybe turbo 50% he said them rebuilds do go out sometimes, but here is the kicker!!!----> It drove ok after the new turbo was put on for 2 days not one problem!!!!! No idea what it could be, maybe an actuator? We want to loom at it next, but he is in Canada now, took a old from TX to Calgary took him 6 days to cover 2100 miles... This is nuts!!! Hopefully them Canadians can figure it out because the boys from the states only know how to change the parts, nothing else. 3 times and the dealer and 3 times miss diagnose the problem!!!!
I guess the cable guy was right.... " You can't FIX STUPID!!! -
Turbo Boost Sensor is what I would go with next.... 100.00 Part

What does your boost gage read when you loose power. When this happens are you blowing black smoke. Egr might not be closing all the way

This could be damaged wires by ecm, I had similar problem but also truck shutdown engine. Dealer also couldnt find problem. I found while engine was running , I was moving wires when found a spot where bad wiring. You have to fix truck yourself..dealers just charge you money for nothing.
