Stopped at the frei dealer they tech looked at it, said you have a air to air leak. Spent $1200 plus labor, drove 20 min the same thing. Went to another dealer today spent another hour, the tech said ohh you have Vpod problem. PaID $1100. 20 MILES LATER NOTHING IS FIXED. THE SAME THING. How is the throttle response. I have had the wiring at the foot pedal go bad.. Mainly when the weather was warm and the wires were heating up and losing contact. Looking at the wires you could not see any breakage, but running an ohm metor they found a wire that was broke inside the casing. Rewired it and good to go. This was after several shops replaced different parts

Check the ecm wire that is running from the batteries to the ecm... Make sure it has a good connection at the batteries

wonderdog24 you think it has something to do with batteries or ECM?

I had something similar happen... It was the small wire that was connected to the positive post that goes to the ecm.... Makes sure it is getting a good connection on the battery....Basically giving the ecm a false voltage reading.... Are you gettin any codes???

Had something similar happen with a 12.7 DD60... lost power, continued losing speed, lots of smoke (this was a pre-EGR engine)... first assessment was that the turbo was out. As it turned out, it was actually an injector.

Hi, this is not just everyones in a while it comes and goes all the time. It will drive good for 20 miles and then no power again.. I would think the injector will be bad all the time, no? I drove the CAT with bad injector it was running extreamly rough and had a miss fire feeling, in this citation there is not missfire.

check the turbo boost sensor in the intake manifold. when they begin to malfunction, the symptoms you described will happen. after it cools off and resets all is well till it heats up again
