Was backing up so i rolled driver side window down(power). Would not go back up….after fooling with it for an hour I rigged it to where it would stay up and so its been like that a day or so. I look inside and the window is still on the track. I hear the motor and it sounds the seem and everything.

It seems like whatever is suppose to take the window up doesn't do it. There is a metal rod that on the passenger side that the metal is attached to the little clip in the middle of the window. But, its not on the driver side.

I looked online and it seems that piece is called the regulator. What exactly does the regulator do? Ive been looking but can't find what its purpose is.

Yea I removed the door panel. It looks like the metal clip on the bottom of the window with a rod going kinda on it it broken off the window, but I don't see how that makes it go up and down……On the passenger side I took that off as well to see, and the metal rod is connected to the clip on the bottom of the window so i guess that has something to do with it….
