Boost pressure sensor did didly squat. Installed a different EGR delete kit. So far not noticing much of a difference. Running a Chi-KY container tonight so I guess I'll see. Losing hope.

Remember I run light as hell compared to most because of the nature of Intermodal. Loaded one way empty the other way and mostly within a 300 mile radius of Chicago. Other than occasional container to Lexington KY. Which also comes back empty.

Best advice I have for ya is to stop throwing parts at it an find your nearest Clarke Detroit Diesel shop. If you have to travel then travel. They can run diagnostics on the motor that freightliner wished they had half the ability to do. They can also go threw the ECM an make sure all the parameters are set to the specs you want without messing with egr program of course. An if it came down to it they can put it on a dyno an pull live data from the truck under a hard pull. It's not gonna be cheap but throwing parts an egr deletes are not fixing the problem so right now your just throwing 100 dollar bills out the window. If that was a company truck before you bought it then there is no tell what brainiacs did to the programs on it to be more fuel effienciet, they claim but mostly derate them to keep drivers from ripping drivetrain out if them.

I've taken it to Detroit Diesel "Inland Power". Everything is ok but low dyno numbers. To which there is no answer why either. In fact when I told them to check something they never did.

One odd tidbit. The "econometer" you know the: - 0% +,
When I come to a full stop like at a light, it goes all the way on the negative. Weird all the other FFreightliner I drove always went to the plus side.

I'm not to sure on this but the VGT turbos on the cummins has the actuator like the Detroit but has like a electronic control box that is mounted to the firewall that controls an tells the actuator to open an close. A guy I know had the same problems that you are an that controller was bad so the vanes in the turbo wouldn't open an close properly. Meaning under a load 0-40 it would pull fine but once he got on the road an just needed boost to pull an continue small speed control the truck would fall on its face an not pull even though the turbo was boosting up like it was suppose to. Maybe some one else can confirm if the Detroit has same style controller or not.

Also your doing better than me. I get 5-5.4 mpg running local an my dash show either 0 or neg 3 at idle. But mine needs a few things done to it, work in progress an I don't pull worth crap either. Grossing around 83,000 with my truck vs 81-82,000 with old company truck with mbe motor the mbe would walk all over me. But the variable come into play with the whole gearing in rears an trans to. Mines setup to run 75-80 comfortably company mbe is setup to run 60.
