Ok hrres my problem. I am 2500 into this.. my 05 columbia 14l detroit is having some issues.. 1st the turbo will quit spooling and then come back.. Then if u cut off the truck it will not start just a dead key.. But... if u let it sit awhile everything works!!!. Im really trying hard not to go crazy.. so they have replaced barometric sensor and the Egr.. any one had these problems? Thanks in advance!

You have more than one issue, although they may be related...

Chase the electrical (Start) one first.... The other may be the ECU not powering up properly...

Good chance they are one and the same issue.

I would check ALL ground and ALL power connections for a good clean tight fit. Then proceed from there if there is still an issue.

Very good chance bad ground cable from chase to starter or chase to batteries also check ground from engine harness to starter

After checking basic 12 volt battery wiring etc :

Do you have communications with the ECM? Is the ECM powered?

Check the Crank position sensor and the Cam shaft position sensor, check these sensors wiring for intermittent operation also.

These two sensors will prevent starter cranking.

Cam and crank sensors have nothing, whatsoever, to do with cranking, or failure to crank, however they certainly can be cause for failure to start.
