Let me know if you still have this issue. I have had a similar one ever since I bought my truck. The temp gauge in the dash would read wrong on occasion. However, since no codes were ever thrown at the ecm level I just figured it's probably wiring. I also double checked engine temp using a laser temp gauge. Now more recently my oil pressure gauge is acting up (no codes or differences in engine performance). I'm thinking of buying a new instrument cluster to see if that fixes it.
