I'm looking at a 2012 ex Roehl truck, the truck has 279k on it. And Detroit has a 500k warrenty left. Does this cover a lot or nothing? And should I run away fast from this truck? The year makes me a little nervous any advice would be awesome, thanks.

I have 2012 Cascadia. Bought it on last September. Drove already 45k miles. I like it because of good mpg. I had a problem with dosing meter unit only. Under warranty have changed the radiator at 330k m . Not a bad truck. But I don't like the multiplexing system.

We have a 2012 Cascadia... Leased it when it had 16 miles on the odometer... Now has 766K (team truck)... All in all its been a good truck, but then we've been on top of all maintainance! Also this truck has never seen a student :)

Ive heard 2012 is the year they started to work out some of the bugs with the DPF system and is the start of the "good" years. They can get alot of water in the air system that can cause the DEF to crystallize and plug up the dosing unit and something with the range selector can get jammed up from rust. they say to purge some air from the tanks daily. Ran one for 375k and no problems except the wiring harness for the def heater broke.

But That doesn't seem like alot of miles for a fleet truck. I'd be curious of the shop history on it.
