2001 F/Liner, N-14 Cummins, 850,000 ,miles. 370 hp.
Yellow ' check engine ' light started coming on for a few seconds at a time about 3 weeks ago. Then started staying on a little longer, maybe up to 3 minutes. Might not come on for 2 hours, then will come on.Might go right back off, may stay lit 5 minutes. No regular schedule. Does it sometimes at start up. sometimes at running temperature. If I turn off engine while going down the road, then turn it back on, yellow will go out.
Every once in a while the red light will begin flashing after the yellow has been on a while, then will stop after 2 to 10 flashes. Engine has never de-rated, always runs fine.
Replaced the low level water sensor, as that had given me trouble several years ago.Removed battery cables, computer re-set. Worked fine for a while. then back to flashing yellow every so often.
The only code it shows is 4 short red-space-1 red, 1 yellow, then 1 red. I cannot find that code.
Any thoughts ?
