I have a 07 Columbia w/Detroit 60 series 14L......
Ill try to explain this the best way I can........ I checked my oil while fueling today and it seems there was moisture on my dipstick. It was kinda yellowish and was runny....it WAS NOT FUEL! The dipstick didn't smell of fuel either. There was little bubbles in it too.....
Its almost like instead of pouring oil down the tube someone poured water down the tube. I made this observation also....
Left the house sunday...went from charlotte to Dayton Oh, 26klbs I achieved 6.2 mpg which was good and truck pulled great in the mountains...
Delivered in OH and picked up 2 pipes probably 15-18k lbs at the most.....only achieved 5.6 going to corpus Christi TX.....ran empty from there to Houston and only got 6.5 empty.......
Also while going through illinois Monday, I thought I was gelling up(felt just like this) As I was cruising along it just started to stutter for about 5 seconds....scared me. It done it again today.......those are the only 2 times it happened.....
I don't know if the 2 problems are related but, just wondering if anyone had any ideas or maybe this issue

I'm no mechanic, but my first thought would be a cracked or warped head. Has it overheated recently?

coolant is getting in your oil. if it is yellow/milky. it should also make your oil level appear higher. when mine did that is was the air compressor. changed out the head from another used one & problem solved. it could also be a lot worse. could be piston'liner e.t.c.

your dash gauge may also show a slight drop in oil pressure. get to a shop you trust & have them find out where the coolant is getting in the oil.

When I had coolant in the sump due to a blown head gasket, the oil pressure went up.

Oil pressure is the same/coolant level is the same.....I know its not coolant, I went through that last year!!! LOL headgasket/etc......I know the symptoms of that

I've noticed gas and diesel engines doing that due to moisture not being allowed to escape. The dipstick even got rusty, but the coolant level never went down. Gassers are a bad PVC system. Not sure about your diesel. Maybe your engine temperature isn't coming up to 180.

I would change the oil at the least to make sure I go rid of the moisture in the oil. See if it comes back. The stutter could be air getting into the fuel lines.
