Gauges not doing their "pre-check" when I turn my key on.

The gauges do nothing for 15 to 30 seconds after the truck is started, then they seem to all work fine. They used to go through a "pre-check" when I turned the key on. I can hear a relay (?) in the fuse panel that seems to be attempting to click. (I can't be at the key and the fuse panel at the same time to try to see where it's coming from. Maybe if I was a couple of feet taller... :biggrin_25520:)
Can anyone tell me what I'd be looking for in the fuse panel? Relay? Fuse? What's it called?? Would it even be IN the fuse panel? The majority of fuses in my panel are those metal resetting type mini fuses, so I can't see that they're "blown"... maybe I can just replace possible candidates with a regular fuse and see if it blows?? (Yes, I'm stretching... lol)
    Thanks! Kathy

There are two 70 amp master relays, one powers the engine, the other does all accessories. Although I believe the gauges are on the same circuit as the engine.
They are both in the fuse panel on the right dash. They just get tired after the years. Don't know that it will solve your problem, but last time I replaced them they were only $5.25 each, so for just over ten dollars it would be worth a shot.
