I grabbed the video off my dash cam of leaving Norfolk Southern 47th, Chicago on Saturday morning. For those who know it, it is nothing new, but for those who never have been there, they are replacing all of the bridges that NS47th has over 51st St. Currently they have everyone heading out west on 51st down this cratered road. If you go faster than idle, thing in your cab get all tossed around. In this video, I was bobtailing out.

51st isn't that bad from Halsted to Western..... during the day time. I've seen guys being tackled by police and heard gunshots on different occasions.

Chicago isn't as bad as the news makes it out to be. The killings are in a small section of the city that more than likely your not going to be in.

Looks bad. All I kept thinking while listening to the music is your pulling a flatbed with a bunch of women doing the polka on the back

When you say "idle speed" a 1 mile stretch of 51st comes to mind. Back in the day late 80's....51st westbound from Central ave small industrial section was literally the worse street in the city. When you climbed out of one pot hole there was another right there waiting for you. 5 mph was top speed. I think it wasn't till the mid or late 90's that the city repaved it.
