Yeah, I would just go with a reman, it's not as bad of a job as it looks.

ESN is engine serial number, it's and 8 digit number on the dataplate

    LyleOdom Thanks this.

He was wanting me to switch them out to make sure that was the problem before I bought the wrong part.. I'm just gonna take the whole thing off.

I looked at buying a International 9800 cabover a couple of years ago. Pretty Sure it was a '99 and pretty sure it said ISM on the top cover too. FWIW, I have a 1998 KW and it says M11. Carry on gentlemen.

It's an M11 350 with CPL 1856 built in Jamestown New York on June 8 1995

anyway... I don't know where you are located, but a good heavy duty fleet parts store will carry a good reman. It calls for a CP2040 which is a holset brand compressor cummins has used for 20+ years. Any truck dealer can get it as well as cummins if you have a local distributor.

    hope this helps

I got a reman Saturday.. It was $289 which I didn't think was to bad.. Core was over $500 though.. Thought that was kind of steep.. So I'll definitely be bringing the core back ASAP! I've almost got the air compressor off. There's one bolt that's an inch from the frame that I had to borrow a short 5/8 wrench from my neighbor just so I could get to it. I've got it lose but now I can't get the wrench back on it.. Is there some kind of special tool I need? A socket will fit on it but not with the handle so that's pretty much useless..

I bought a set of tools that look like the open end of a wrench that fit on the socket handle
