Loud 9900i

    Hello
    In the past year I've purchased a 2006 9400i eagle with a 72 inch pro sleeper and a Cummins ISX @475 HP. The truck runs great and the only cab noise is the turbo spooling up. Last week I picked up a 2003 9900i day cab. With the same engine as the 06 9400i. The cab noise is awful. From the outside both trucks sound the same all the way from low idle to full throttle. Had both in the shop and inspected the fire wall padding. Everything is exactly the same. I don't even want to drive this truck anymore. We currently have 8 trucks with Detroits, M11s, and a Cat 3406B. Has anyone else had this problem?

    No but I'll suggest..... Check exhaust and make sure it doesn't touch anywhere, check trans and engine mounts, check dog house n make sure it's all the way up and gasket is good. Ck cab mounts.

    I think you have a flat mount ( rubber) and it's metal to metal transmitting through frame.
