I have a 2009 International Prostar with ISX Cummins Engine. Does anyone know the side effects of bad bushing on the REAR STABILIZER BARS. I'm trying to figure out the cause to why I have as shimmying coming front the Left Rear Side of my truck. I have 2 tires the LEFT REAR INNER and the LEFT REAR OTHER TIRE are WEARING on the MOST INNER TREAD. I had a 3 AXLE ALIGNMENT DONE, SHOCKS CHANGED and AIR BAGS REPLACED. I was told to check my REAR STABILIZER BARS. I SEEN THE THE BUSHING were being worn towards the RIGHT SIDE.

Shimmy's are caused by out of round or out of balance tires typically at 55 mph. Drive tires create a shake you generally feel in the seat, steer tires create a shimmy in the steering wheel. Usually worn spring and torque rod bushings do not create a sustained shimmy. If they are that bad to contribute to a shimmy or shake they are easy to see by eye.

Thanx Heavy D so what are the side effects of bad bushings on the stabilizer bar and could they be the cause for my left front and rear inner tire wearing on the most inner tire tread?

If you mean the transverse torque arms, the bars that are perpendicular to the frame, very little actually. Those bars are only to keep the axle properly spaced side to side. The actual alignment is made by axle orientation front to rear. The side to side spacing is called tandem lateral offset. Worn bushings will contribute to wear, but not that significant. The axles would have more movement during turning due to side forces, but would generally ride centered once travelling straight ahead. Do you have any pictures of this tire wear?

Hello Heavy D,
It's been some time ihoe all is well, I've had those tires changed figured I'd get my money worth out of them as recommended to me but I'm still getting that shimmy/bouncy feel from the left rear end of my truck. -
Have you had the wheel bearings checked for play?
