My ProStar had a engine warn light on with the yellow triangle.
It was low on power so the shop plugged it into Insite and got a code for the DPF.
They did a forced regen and decided to get on Cummins website and get the latest update for the engine.
Now the engine light is cleared but the update caused the engine fan to stay on at all times,no cruise or jake working now either.
This idiot in our shop has no clue what to do next...
Any ideas??

This happens sometimes when ISX's are re calibrated. The "multiplexing" parameter has been set to disable in error. You will need to go back to that shop and have them re-enable it. This programs the engine to talk properly to cab computer.
QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this. -
Thanks Heavyd!....Will see if this guy understands that.
It is our small company shop.
Will let ya know if he finds it under parameters....not sure where they found this guy!....lol! -
That happened to a 2011 I once owned. Turns out the highly trained techs at Peterbilt had left a pair of vise grips on the air line going to the fan (which was a step in the diagnostic tree) for something else. I would check that first.

They never raised the hood, just hooked the computer to it.
