Did my app and basically signed on to go to orientation next week in the ATL. I signed on to do the dedicated mattress hauling account that would be home once during the week for a 10 hr break and on the weekend for a 34. They are saying that it will pay approx. 60k a year the break down is 46cpm plus stop and unload pay. I was wondering has anyone with experience under this account made this pay,or are these figures true? I currently work locally for Airgas as a route driver making pennies. So if the pay is true that would be around double what i make now. But I know that EVERY company pretty much promotes the fantasy salary statistics, I just hope that this is near the truth. *Oh yeah and there is a $3000 sign on bonus

Ya wanna unload mattresses for a living? I did that with rolls of carpet pad. I lasted 2 weeks.....

It is true. Up in PA, the guys make 70+ year. I must tell you that it is difficult work. Lots of dust on bags on mattresses, very tight locations. You will earn every penny.

Im used to the work and dont mind actually hopping out of my seat to get dirty if the pay is there. I do it now for pennies but of course the trade off is that im home every night now
