Please explain the appeal I have driven Freightliners and Internationals, I have nothing good to say about International but Freightliners to me are the best of the two. Never been in a Kenworth but can't they look very appealing. Please if you could explain the draw to it from those who are experienced with it.
thank you.
Kenworth look like giant laundry dryers....

A KW will still be quiet and wind whistle free after a few times around the block. If you pull the interior out of a KW you better have screw gun and a coffee can....lots of screws. A Shaker you're going to have a handful of screws and a bunch of broken plastic clips. A KW is built like a truck should be a Freightliner is built like a car. That is why everything squeaks and rattles in a Shaker. A KW you can tighten a screw that may come lose in a Shaker you have a broken plastic plug that lets whatever it's holding rattle. Behind the dash of a KW you will find aluminum structure in a International and a Shaker it's plastic.
They are cheaper for a reason. They cost less to build.
If you want to see the difference for yourself go to a dealer that has a KW/Pete, WS, Freightliner, and International and compare 5 or 6 year old trucks that have had the same kind of history. Sit in them and close the door you will be able to tell the difference.
My 8 year old W900 you still need to crack the window so you don't have to slam the door. I've owned it since new I've never replaced any weather stripping and never adjusted the doors and there is no wind noise in the cab. Find a Shaker or Binder that can say that.that65 Thanks this. -
As a side, at his present time I own 2 06 Kenworths W900 T300, 1 02International 9200, 1 06 Freightliner Columbia and dare I say even a 05 Volvo. If money were no object they would all be Kenworths. I work on them all and drive them all on occasion. Same type of trucks same job. There is a difference. The cheapie T300 non air ride cab beat you to death ride has less wind noise than the Columbia.
My truck, my choice is a W9.that65 Thanks this. -
Some things can not be explained, the blind can not see, the deaf can not hear and you cannot explain why you ride a Harley either. But I tell you this I drive a 700 studio now and there's nothing like crusin down I 80 @ 75 mph, quiet and smooth. Nothing against shakers.

my 2011 T700 rode better then my 2012 Cascadia
but had a worse turning radius
the stupidest thing on this Cascadia is windshield washer drenches
the drivers mirror
