Hello all. The company I work for just took delivery of our new 2015 T880 tilt /rollback 10 wheel flatbed daycab truck. We looked at just about everything out there that would work for us. We looked at Volvo, Mack, Peterbilt, Freightlines ETC....My boss said it was up to me and he let me order it with every option I needed or wanted. When researching this truck I could not find any really good info on it and i hope this may help someone else. Our T880 setup includes a 500HP 1850LB torque ISX Cummins with the 13 speed Eaton ultrashift plus automatic. My day includes a ton of stop and go in heavy traffic so a manual setup was not an option for myself personally. I am coming out a 2007 freightliner M2-112 with the CAT C-13 with Allison auto 6 speed trans. The freighliner was a very tough truck and served me well for over 7 years i drove it. It is now our 2nd truck in our shop. The T880 has almost as good turning radius as the freightliner, and think it turned better than the T800 I test drive. BTW our kenworth dealer really bent over backwards for us with this truck order. We ordered it almost sight unseen. I was able to test drive it after we placed the order for the T880. This truck drives smooth and the transmission shifts flawlessly. The eaton setup is able to be fully automatic or i can put it in manual mode and shift as i like. The hill hold is another great feature eaton has in this transmission. I am averaging almost 4.8 - 5.5 MPG combined highway and local city driving. The truck weighs almost 30000 LBS empty and has a 66000 GCWR. I ordered the NAVPLUS nagigation system and am getting used to it. It has worked great so far. The seats ordered were a premium cloth and has 7 adjustments..I think they are the GT701 style. The seats are very comfortable. Interior room is just as big as my freightliner was and in my opinion much roomier than the T800 extended cab. The body we ordered was the Century LCG 30,000LB with full remote operation. That is a big help in my line of work. The bed also has the rubber tire anti-slip grating on it as well. Overall this has to be one of the best trucks I have driven. Its quiet, smooth, easy to manuver and drive. Bumps are no issue and the fillings in my teeth are not coming out.... I know I jumped around alot and its been a very long day. If anyone has any question please ask....

The T880 is my favorite truck on the market, I absolutely love the interior and the NVH levels.
Hope it serves you well. -
Maybe the t880 could dominate the vac tank industry.
